Home Theater Equipment

This experience can be recreated in your very own home, as long as you have the right home theater equipment. DVD players can also play the majority of music CD’s, therefore alleviating the need for a separate system.

The television in most home theaters is one of the widescreen models, as the majority of DVD’s are created in this particular format to imitate the theaters, but you can play DVD’s on any type of screen.

Most new televisions larger than 27” diagonally are made only as widescreen sets, including those in the three main types of sets sold for home theaters: flat-panel, rear-projection and front-projection in plasma, LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) and HDTV (High Definition Television).

Front-projections with High Definition start at $1,500 and head upward, but require a very dark room for a decent picture. LCD is best for a light room, while Plasma TVs have darker darks and richer tones to create a better overall experience.

Basically, the four smaller speakers should be in the corners of a square or rectangle that creates your home theater room. If you have high, slanted or cathedral ceilings, or aren’t thrilled with the idea of drilling holes to suspend the speakers from the ceiling, speaker stands will work just fine.

Tips to Buying A / V Equipment

Whether you are buying a home theatre system or looking for someone to host a business conference or media event, the knowledge that you obtain before buying A/V equipment is pertinent to your being satisfied with your purchase and that you are able to meet the needs of your event with professional equipment.

If you are shopping in the home theatre system market you really want some expert advice about how to set up your home theatre system.

The furniture in the room and the shape of the room is pertinent to the sound quality. Most sports enthusiast will pick a bar where the beer is cold, the service is friendly, and the game can be seen on the big screen as with the optical front projection screens.
